Rogue River • Riverfront Development Plan
Fred Glick Associates coordinated this 900 acre, five mile development planning process along the beautiful and scenic Rogue River Corridor in Grants Pass, Oregon. The study calls for improving year-round use of the river corridor to improve economic development through tourism possibilities. In addition, the firm sought methods for increasing public access to the river on private properties along both sides of this five mile long portion of the river corridor. A riverfront trail connecting both sides of the river was also considered, taking a great deal of sensitive community relations. The work consisted of an extensive opportunities and constraints analysis, working with the community through large-scale communitty workshops and meetings, followed by development of three Alternative Planning Scenarios. Other team members included Cogan Sharpe Cogan, Williams - Kuebelbeck and Associates, and URS Corporation.
