Mount St Helens • National Volcanic Monument Headquarters
The Mount St Helens National Volcanic Monument, Headquarters Site Selection Process and Development of the Monument Charter, were undertaken for the United States Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest by a Joint Venture Team led by Fred Glick. The Pine Creek Work Center Site Development Plan was completed simultaneously for the USFS. A responsive site selection process was implemented and utilized throughout the six month effort, culminating in the selection of a site development plan which met the criteria set forth in the evaluation procedure established by both the Forest Service and the consultants. This evaluation procedure was approved by the staff of the Forest Service in Vancouver, Washington, resulting in the selection of the Final Site Development Plan highlighted.
