Light Rail Transit

Mr. Glick led the design analysis for a three block bicycle route through one of the most intensively multi-modal areas within the TriMet light rail transit system, adjacent to the Portland Trail Blazers’ Rose Garden Arena. The team's goal was to assess design of a new bike route through this area. Project tasks included: (1) review work completed by previous consultant several years ago; (2) review recent recommendations by City of Portland’s bicycle program coordinator; (3) interagency meeting; field visits at key high-use times during the day and night (including before and after Portland Trail Blazer games); and (4) preparation of a draft memo to TriMet project manager recommending various design options for discussion, as well as the preferred option that was subsequently implemented.
