Playing the lead role in helping reduce significant implementation problems for design of this section of the corridor, Mr. Glick strategized an innovative community outreach process and design approach to gain compatible implementation of a complex pedestrian right-of-way  design along the 5-1/2 mile corridor. The effort provided urban design, site planning, and landscape architectural services to all 540 residential and commercial property owners and the TriMet and Bechtel Final Engineering team, transforming a rural collector road into a multi-modal urban transitway. This is an early example of a Complete Street. Portland's first light rail line opened for revenue service in 1986. Please view the following video produced by Mr. Glick for this project:
