Light Rail Transit

Evergreen and Main Streets LRT Station

Vancouver, WA

Undertaken for the Intergovernmental Resource Center, the purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of LRT in downtown Vancouver, along I-5, and a cross county connector. The accompanying illustration was an early planning stage for the Portland/Vancouver region's future light rail alignment in downtown Vancouver, WA. Today this work has evolved into the Columbia River Crossing Project (earlier known as the South/North LRT corridor). This project will connect to TriMet's Expo Line, which was constructed from downtown Portland as far north as the Expo Center in North Portland. Mr. Glick oversaw development of the accompanying rendering illustrating how LRT will fit into the downtown – the first urban design concept of an LRT mall for downtown Vancouver.
