Dash Point State Park, Master Plan Suitability Analysis

Federal Way, WA

Fred Glick led development of the master plan suitability analysis for Dash Point State Park. The assignment included collection of database materials, and review and mapping of the significant natural and built features within the park. These include existing development, vegetation, topography, soils/geology, wetlands and water features, historical and cultural features, critical habitat, sensitive areas, adjacent land use and utility service providers. A composite analysis was prepared incorporating each of these inventory factors, resulting in an intuitive plan map that is easily interpreted by professionals and lay persons alike. The composite analysis prepared was used to site a new sanitary sewer alignment for the southern portion of the park.
