Transit Oriented Development

Leading a multi-disciplinary team, Mr. Glick served as project coordinator for a framework plan and development strategy for three square miles of Beaverton’s downtown area. The downtown development concept was strongly reinforced in part by narrowing potential LRT alignments down to two alternatives, either one of which was optimal. Fred Glick Associates’ work in downtown Beaverton integrated the Westside LRT corridor into a location that was already mostly developed. The goal was to plan a downtown that maximized the redevelopment opportunities provided by LRT and at the same time preserved the historic aspects of Beaverton, while linking these older sections with the new development centers.
