Transit Oriented Development

Northeast Los Angeles Linkages • Urban Design Master Plan

Los Angeles, CA

Northeast Los Angeles Linkages Phase 5 served as the Urban Design Master Plan for the Arroyo Seco Parkway communities in NE Los Angeles. The master plan consisted of 17 square miles within 11 Northeast Los Angeles neighborhoods. Mr. Glick led the effort in collaboration with Los Angeles City Council Member Ed Reyes, Council District 1, and Council Member Antonio Villaraigosa, Council District 14 (now Mayor of Los Angeles). LADOT managed the contract; funding was arranged through a planning grant from Caltrans, LADOT, and LA Metro. Among project objectives within each of the Metro Gold Line's transit station areas was to propose candidate sites desirable for Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Mr. Glick led the evaluation and selection of numerous TOD sites.
