Library Park
Oregon City, OR
Library Park was located on the site of the Oregon City Library. The intent of the site's redesign was to functionally separate the play area from the library, while aesthetically linking the playground to the adjacent library setting. The new design integrated the existing children's wading pond facility into the site so as to discourage dripping wet children from running directly into the library. The playground and its amenities included: a large circular wading pond, a low concrete seating wall with adjacent grading, relocation of the site's play equipment, inclusion of a "grass-crete" service path/road through the park's turf area, addition of a bicycle rack and drinking fountain, new concrete walks and new, raised concrete planters.
