The City of LaGrande Central Business Zone Plan was developed for the City’s Downtown Business Community’s need to upgrade the downtown streetscape and underutilized land for the purpose of more fully developing a downtown fabric that was commensurate with the community’s national historic district historic buildings and historic railroad depot. Demuth Glick Consultants’ work was led by Fred Glick in close cooperation with several other consulting firms. The Railroad Depot Master Plan illustration was developed under Mr. Glick’s direction an objective that aimed to better integrate the railroad depot into the downtown business community. Also created as part of this study were several alternative site plans for the LaGrande Downtown Streetscape combining pedestrian circulation opportunities that promote retail and visitor destinations.
