Downtown Salem Streetscape Program
Providing fresh, innovative design of pedestrian amenities for downtown Salem, Mr. Glick led the master plan for a five-year phased streetscape development program, guidelines for the rehabilitation and new construction of downtown direction and street signs, and preservation and rehabilitation of significant and unique structures. A key design aspect included establishing a concept that would be prototypical in nature, and that complemented the existing elements of the downtown streetscape and included custom design, as necessary, of individual amenities (for example, seating, bike racks, tree grates, banners, surface pavers, planters, pedestrian lighting, and kiosks). As a partner within a joint venture team, Mr. Glick was responsible for leading design, master planning, schematic and final design.
