Alternative Modes Analysis, AC Transit District

Oakland, CA

Mr. Glick provided analysis of transit alternatives in East Bay - Alameda / Contra Costa Transit’s most heavily traveled corridors. The project was designed to improve system productivity, and to help develop cleaner, quieter transit service and increased ridership for the District. As project urban designer, Mr. Glick led evaluation of potential relationships between bus/trolley and LRT projects and communities. Specific focus areas included Telegraph Avenue LRT Mall Urban Design Concept, City Hall Park LRT Hub (convergence of Telegraph Avenue/Berkeley and Oakland LRT Corridors) and multiple locations throughout the Berkeley/Oakland region. Included were exploration of opportunities for development of either BRT or LRT as principal mode of operation.
