Newport Peninsula Urban Design Plan
Mr. Glick assisted the City of Newport and its partner agencies, the Port of Newport, Lincoln County, and the Oregon Department of Transportation with planning integration of the Coastal Corridor Project (Highway 101) as part of the Oregon Coast Scenic Byway. Mr. Glick led integration of proposed changes along the Coast Highway alignment within the Newport Peninsula in central Newport, including the City Center and its six surrounding neighborhoods. Mr. Glick directed and supervised preparation of 150 drawings, personally coordinated 100 public and interagency meetings, and led overall process facilitation over a three year period. The City also retained Mr. Glick for the design of Donald A. Davis Park and the Yaquina Bayfront Boardwalk, as well as an Urban Renewal Master Plan for the historic oceanfront Nye Beach Neighborhood, the Newport Aquarium / South Beach Urban Design Plan, a master plan for Port Dock 5 with the Port of Newport, and a concept master plan for Bay Boulevard and the industrial waterfront.
